Some sisterly advice.

I got a talking to today and  I was finally mature enough to listen this time. Jacki and I were making plans as we always do and she stopped mid sentence to tell me what it was like to be my sister and business partner. 


She said I've been there for her and have supported every idea she's had without question and taught her that there really are trustworthy people in her life (meaning me). What was really pissing her off is that I wouldn't let her be that kind of sister to me. I was too independent, a virtual island. I was robbing her of the opportunity to give to me and that was hurting her feelings. 



Since I am pretty much as she says, I walked out of the room. I didn't know what to say. Then it came to me. I walked back into the office and said thank you. 

We all have to give and receive. If we don't it causes an imbalance within us and that causes imbalances in others. Message received Jacki and I accept.
